 February Events

Feb. 20th Monthly Program Meeting :

Join BDPA for an insightful discussion about the basics of Machine Learning. Machine Learning is a discipline within Computer Science focused on
completing tasks based on statistical prediction and inference rather than sequential instructions. It relies heavily on mathematically trained models
and leverages the parallel processing capability of modern microprocessors.

Some current applications include:

1. Spam Filtering
2. Credit Card Fraud Detection
3. Image and Speech Recognition
4. Autonomous Navigation in Vehicles

Eric Hill and Tyrone Hill will present an overview of the field. The presentation will cover:

1. Types of Machine Learning Problems (Regression vs.Classification)
2. Software-based tools and frameworks commonly used to solve Machine Learning problems
3. Simple demos of Machine Learning applications
